Now in his second term representing NJ-7, a closely divided suburban district, Rep. Tom Kean has cemented a reputation in the House of Representatives as a hard-charging ‘workhorse’ (not one of Congress’s many ‘show horses’). Rep. Kean has been at the forefront of efforts to cut taxes for all taxpayers and expand the Child Tax Credit for hardworking families in New Jersey.
Rep. Kean has also been a reliable pro-Israel stalwart, taking the lead on a congressional letter thanking Germany for supporting Israel’s right to self-defense in the International Court of Justice. A leading opponent of antisemitism in all its variants, Rep. Kean has been active in anti-BDS efforts and was the lead cosponsor of legislation to reauthorize the Never Again Education Act, which promotes Holocaust education in elementary and secondary schools. In the wake of the 10/7/23 Hamas attacks – made possible because of Iran’s support for Hamas – Rep. Kean stood up for Israel’s right to defend itself against the Iranian regime and its terror proxies and he forcefully supported President Trump’s decision to launch Operation Epic Fury against the Iranian regime.
